In a surprising crossover event that defies usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
